Hardware engineer
To define the hardware architecture and design of our next generation fiber sensing products, we are now looking for a hardware system engineer. You will become part of a fast growing and international team, contributing to a sustainable future by enabling safer infrastructure and more efficient renewable energy production. Our offices are located at the technology park close to Ghent.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Define the hardware architecture of our next generation fiber sensing interrogators
- Interact with electronics designers and mechanical design to implement system architecture
- Interact with chip designers and software engineers to understand full system requirements
- Interact with manufacturing partners
- Develop methods and tools to validate the next generation products
- System-level validation of hardware concepts (electronics, thermal, robustness, …)
- Transfer of tools to production process, define production procedures
- Troubleshooting
- Design to cost
Ideally your resume includes:
- Master’s degree in electronics, mechatronics or equivalent
- Electronic, mechanical and/or thermal design experience is an advantage
- Programming skills (Python, C)
- Knowledge of LabVIEW is an advantage
- Problem solving analytical mindset
- Fluent in English and Dutch
